FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Atomberg’s BLDC fans give you the same (or better) air delivery as a normal fan while slashing power bills, staying quiet, and working flawlessly through voltage fluctuations or on inverter power—making them the smarter, more economical choice for modern homes.
Yes, most Atomberg BLDC fans available in Sri Lanka come with a convenient remote control. Almost all current ceiling fan models include a universal IR remote that lets you adjust the fan’s speed and features (like boost, timer, and sleep modes) from anywhere in the room without needing to use a wall regulator.
Clean the blades and motor housing regularly to prevent dust buildup, tighten loose screws, avoid imbalanced installation, and use the remote or app controls properly. Keeping it free from dust and operating at moderate speeds helps longevity.
Atomberg fans come with a 3‑year warranty.
Designed for durability and efficiency, Atomberg BLDC ceiling fans offer reliable, long-term performance backed by up to a 3-year warranty. Enjoy silent operation and up to 65% energy savings with fans engineered to outperform traditional ceiling fans.
A 3-blade pedestal fan offers faster rotation and stronger airflow with slightly lower power usage, making it great for quick cooling or workout spaces. A 5-blade fan delivers broader, quieter airflow at lower speeds, ideal for bedrooms, study rooms, or places where silence matters.
Yes, Atomberg pedestal/stand fan models available include remote control for adjustable speeds and modes.
Atomberg is new to Sri Lanka but not new. The company has been manufacturing BLDC fans in India since 2012 and has sold to over 10 million customers there. In Sri Lanka the range is distributed and serviced locally, so warranty claims and spare parts are handled here, not shipped from overseas.
Sri Lanka rates ceiling fans from 1 to 5 stars for energy efficiency. The rating compares how much air a fan moves against how much electricity it uses, so it tells you what a fan actually costs to run rather than just what it costs to buy. More stars mean more efficient. A 1 or 2 star fan and a 5 star fan caAtomberghe same amount of air across a room, but the 1 star fan will take two to three times more electricity to do it, every hour, for the fifteen or twenty years you own it.
The rating is not a marketing badge. It is set under Sri Lanka Standard SLS 1600, and the star rating certificate is issued by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution after samples of each specific model are tested for air velocity, power consumption and power factor. Each model has to be certified separately.
Every Atomberg fan sold in Sri Lanka is 5 star rated. Not the top model, not selected models, the entire range. That is because the rating is earned by the BLDC motor, and every fan we make uses one. With conventional fans the star rating varies model to model, so the same brand can sell you a 4 star fan and a 1 star fan off the same shelf. With Atomberg there is nothing to check between models, though we would still rather you checked.
Yes. Every ceiling fan sold in Sri Lanka must carry an energy label showing its star rating, on the fan and on the box. Look for it before you buy.
The rating tells you what the fan will cost to run. A ceiling fan in a Sri Lankan home runs sixteen hours a day or more, for ten to fifteen years. Over that time, the electricity it uses costs several times more than the fan itself. A 1 star fan and a 5 star fan can cost the same in the shop and move the same air, but the 1 star fan will take two to three times more electricity to do it.
Brands that score well put the label on the front of the box. Brands that score poorly put it where you will not look. If the star rating is hard to find, that is worth noticing.
Every Atomberg fan sold in Sri Lanka is 5 star rated.
